Educational Services
Sunny Side Up
Sunny Side Up is a 3-week program that allows students to observe the unique process of egg incubation as embryos develop into chicks. The program provides supporting instructions, lesson plans, reading materials, sensory diagrams, and important web links that allow the teacher to help students fully engage in the experience. During this experience, with the ongoing support of Bee Free Farm and the teacher, the classroom community will responsibly work together in a caring way, to ensure the proper care for the eggs as they incubate and of the chicks once they have hatched.
Exploring Agriculture (K-5)
This is a SPECIALS CLASS curriculum. Students can participate from twice a week to once every other week. Students will be introduced to agriculture through defining key terms as well as engaging in hands-on agricultural activities referred to as a ‘Mission’.

Each MISSION will be introduced with an agriculture-related lesson to establish a knowledge base about the topic. Through weekly research, students will be able to take ownership of their role to complete the mission. Each MISSION will require hands-on engagement, which allows students to understand one of the main components of agriculture. Upon completion of each MISSION, students will have the opportunity to exhibit their full understanding of the process they completed.
